What is 5454 aluminum sheet?
5454 is an alloy in the wrought aluminum-magnesium series (5000 or 5xxx series) and is a typical rust-proof aluminum.
As an aluminum-magnesium alloy, 5454 aluminum sheet combines medium and high strength with excellent weldability, and its strength is similar to that of 5154 and about 20% higher than that of 5052 aluminum sheet.
As a wrought alloy, 5454 aluminiumcan be formed by rolling, extruding, and forging (although forging is uncommon), but not by casting. Cold working produces a temper that is stronger but less ductile.

What does H32 aluminum mean?
5454-H32 aluminum plate indicates that the aluminum plate has been working hardened and stabilized, and H32 indicates that the strength of hardening is the third grade. Steady-state is reached after hardening, and the strength is approximately one-quarter of that between annealed (O) and full hard (H38).
The hardening method of 5454 aluminum sheet is not only H32 hardening but also 5454 H34 aluminum sheet hardening. Different hardening methods are required for tool production.

5454 aluminum sheet molding: 5454aluminum sheet has good hot and cold working properties. It can be easily cold worked in any tempered or annealed condition.

5454 aluminum sheet forging: 5454 aluminum plate has good plasticity and can be hot forged.
5454 aluminum sheet Hot Working: Hot-working can be done in the temperature range of 700 to 400 F.
5454 aluminum sheet cold work: Use this alloy. It can be satisfactorily cold worked in the annealed condition or any H-32, H-34, H-111 tempered condition easily accomplished by conventional methods.
5454 aluminum sheet annealing: If cold working stress relief is desired, this can be done at 650 F, allowing sufficient time for thorough heating, followed by air cooling.
