Our Ghana client has a relatively high requirement for the aluminum disks. The request is for a minimum of 38% elongation property because the follow-up spinning technique will be used to produce aluminum pots, pans, kettles, etc. In addition, he also shared with us that he needs to engage in the degreasing and whitening process as the spinning procedure is finished and then he will polish the product, install handles and other accessories related to the product.

In the process of aluminum disc production, there are several critically important processes.

1. Aluminum Coil Billet Process:

With this process, we must pay close attention to the grain size and aluminum content. Only the grain size that reaches the first level with aluminum content that is over 99.5%, can be the correct combination to produce the highest quality aluminum disks. The main factor, however, severely affecting the grain size lies in the titanium content in the whole smelting process. Therefore, in order to guarantee the highest quality of the aluminum coil billet, our fundamental requirement for titanium content must be no less than 0.15%. As our customers utilize the spinning technique to produce aluminum products, those two indicators mentioned above can both directly affect whether the aluminum disk might be torn or broken, and whether the aluminum pot’s surface might have an appearance of an orange peel or a tiger pattern or some other undesirable effect.

2. Rolling Process:

With this process we are expected to roll the 6mm thick aluminum disk billet to the required aluminum disk thickness. In this entire procedure, we will exercise a rigorous control over the billet amount during each rolling that should be less than 60%. In other words, a one-millimeter thick aluminum billet can be maximally rolled down 0.6mm thickness. Hence, the aluminum disk billet amount of each rolling is closely associated with the quality of aluminum product in the later stage. What’s more, under the circumstance of successfully controlling its thickness and width, the thickness and the width tolerance of the same plate is respectively plus or minus 0.01mm and plus or minus 1.0mm.

3. Stamping Process:

In this process we stamp the aluminum coil into aluminum disks. Once our stamping workshop receives the order stating the requirement of thickness for which the disks shall be stamped, they will continue checking to be sure the thickness, width and other aspects of the specifications are maintained. They are also strictly required to check to be sure the disks are not scratched or deformed as well as ensuring the total number produced is right and whether it has edge burr. Here I would like to draw close attention to the edge burr issue. It is caused by the gap between the upper and lower die, as the workers use the stamping dies. The larger the gap is, the longer and wider the edge burr will be. These phenomena can easily scratch the workers’ hands and we want to take precautions for our employees’ well-being. Therefore, we require our workers to regularly check the tolerance and maintain the related adjustments for these stamping dies. Most importantly, our company occupies a precise control over the stamping dies, which also means that we will implement some adjustments for our stamping dies, after the specified number of uses of our workers.

4. Annealing Process:

In this process, we will stamp the H18 aluminum coil to aluminum disks and then anneal them to the O state, which will help the aluminum circles to both achieve a better shape and gain a much better performance. It will take the annealing furnace about 6 hours to be heated up to 200 degrees Celsius, when the aluminum coil changes from the H state to the O state aluminum disks. Next, we will start to do the oil-removing and smoke-extracting operation, as the oil on the aluminum disks will start to atomize under such a high temperature. The furnace will be heated from the room temperature to 380 degrees Celsius and will be kept at 380 degrees Celsius for 20 hours. Finally, we will allow it to cool down naturally. The temperature is kept at 380 degrees Celsius for such a long time because this operation gravely increases the elongation performance of the aluminum circles and our company attaches tremendous importance to that.

5. Quality Inspection Process:

After the annealing, we will double check the aluminum disks’ size, physical properties, chemical components and their grain size. We hereby assure you that we won’t package them until our highest standards of quality control have been met.

6. Packaging Process:

In order to avoid the static electricity issues, workers will sandwich paper between aluminum disks. Our rule and standard is that for every ten centimeters thick, a piece of paper shall be sandwiched in. Along with that, we can also carefully check for any defective products, as we conduct the paper-sandwiching operation further guaranteeing our customer the product quality. In order to make the packaged product water-proof and moisture-proof, we will engage in a 4-layer packaging method. And for one more measure of safety, we choose to wrap the top layer with water-proof plastic. We use a multi-layer board wooden cover on the top and the fumigated wooden pallet at the bottom in order to protect our products to the fullest. Lastly, we secure the pallets with horizontal and vertical steel belting.

Aluminum Disk Production Parameters

Aluminum discs are widely used in fields of electronics, household chemical industry, medicine, culture and education, auto parts, electrical appliances, insulation, machinery manufacturing, automobile, aerospace, military, mold, construction, printing, to name a few. For example, non-stick pan and the pressure cooker in the kitchenware industry. It won’t be difficult for us to find traces of aluminum disks in the hardware field either, as well as innumerable household products such as lamp shades, aluminum cans, and the outer shell of water heater and so on. They all belong to deep processed products of aluminum alloy plates and strips.

We have established long-term business agreements with shipments to over 80 countries. As one of the leading aluminum disk manufacturers and suppliers, we constantly strive to provide the highest quality of aluminum products. In addition, to make it more convenient for our customers, we support a wide range of payment methods.
